The Hermitage Friends' Association Italy, founded in Palazzo Vecchio (Florence) on 4 July 2012 as an integral element of the International Hermitage Friends' Club to strengthen cultural ties between Russia and the West, particularly Italy, has decided to turn over a new leaf. When the initial aim -to produce exhibitions, publications, events, seminars, conferences and trips- failed due to two devastating events, the Pandemic and the war in pieces, in order to break the immobility and isolation caused by the new visible and invisible frontiers, the Association decided to found, together with ArtsLife, the portal Arte a Casa Tua. A very simple idea that can be summed up as follows: you prevent us from travelling, you limit our contacts, you put us on the index, but don't worry, we will bring art to your home. And we will do it starting with the last ones, those who do not have access to exclusive stages, to trendy galleries, or are a big and famous museum or house-museum too small to come forward. With this new project 'Art in Your Home'.
The Associazione Amici Ermitage Italia aims to provide concrete support for the protection, enhancement and promotion of the artistic heritage of museums and non-museums. Especially that 'hidden' heritage that small and large structures have difficulty exhibiting to the general public. To pursue this aim, Arte a Casa Tua has initiated numerous activities: collection of news and curiosities from artists, museums, museum-houses, religious structures, etc., fundraising for the restoration of works, organisation of exhibitions and conferences, sponsorships, publishing production, organisation of meetings with important personalities, concerts, seminars, lectures, trips, without neglecting food and wine.
Arte a Casa Tua proposes itself as a qualified partner for the development of artistic/cultural exchange opportunities between Italy, Europe, emerging countries and the rest of the world. In the near future, the Association plans to flank the digital space with a physical institutional space to be dedicated to exhibitions, concerts, cinema, theatre, debates and various other activities, instrumental to achieving its aims. The portal stands as a wide-ranging and dynamic project that, translated into various languages, will be available to all. In order to give greater substance to our enterprise, we hope to have the support of professionals from the art world, collectors, patrons, sympathisers, entrepreneurs and all those operating in the Art system. Any form of collaboration aimed at enriching the project will be carefully evaluated and considered as a valuable contribution to the growth of the portal committed to spreading the art of culture. Two universal values.
