Milan, 22.09.2025 – Spazio HUS presents, from 7 to 23 October, the collective exhibition Cinque Sguardi, that brings together the work of five internationally renowned photographers, each engaged in a personal exploration of the language of photography. Each author brings with him or her a unique visual universe, the result of expressive research that reflects their own poetics, sensitivity and vision of the world. “This exhibition,” highlight curators Francesca Bianucci and Chiara Cinelli, “takes the form of a dynamic dialogue between approaches that differ in style, technique and emotion. The gazes intertwine, confront and enrich each other, creating a visual experience full of contrasts and resonances. The works on display, selected to emblematically represent the artistic journey of each photographer, range across different genres and languages, composing a visual mosaic that invites the viewer to reflect on the complexity of our time”.
The exhibition is enriched by the presentation of curator Nicoletta Mezzanotte von Buttlar, who observes꞉ “I have the pleasure of presenting the varied language of five contemporary photographers from Germany to the Milanese public, with their characteristics that make their visual photographic form unique. At the centre of Kerstin Henschel ‘s work are her horizons open to a world of light and brightness reflected in her spaces of water and sky. Angelika Kallenbach embarks on a path of introspection and induces the viewer to participate in her most intimate fantasies and dreams, in a fantastic and unreal world. Elias Maya ‘s gaze reveals the human being in his everyday dynamism, in a surreal scenario. Barbara Rotter ‘s images reveal glimpses of memories of distant journeys, focusing on two forms of language, one characterised by an intense chromatic force and the other, in black and white, of a minimalist kind. ‘The poetry of the everyday moment’ is the red thread in Marlis Sauer‘s work. Her poetic gaze depicts fleeting moments of everyday life in a realistic context. I am certain that, for the Milanese public, this exhibition will be a source of inspiration and reflection on the reality of everyday life.”

Spazio HUS was created as a meeting and dialogue point between different artistic languages, a place open to creative contamination and experimentation. With an articulated programme of exhibitions and events, it welcomes the works and experiences of designers, visual artists, performers, photographers and craftsmen from both the Italian and international scene. The name HUS, which means ‘home’ in Danish, reflects the welcoming and inclusive identity of the space: an intimate and stimulating environment where art can dwell, grow and generate connections. Located in a fascinating place, characterised by original period interiors, Spazio HUS is also home to HUS Milano, a creative workshop designed to inspire architects, interior designers and artists in the broadest sense. HUS is a living place, where artistic making intertwines with design thinking, generating shared visions and new cultural trajectories.
